TOTD – Braeden Bailey – Eden (remix)

Dallas’ Braeden Bailey is no stranger to a solid remix. Over the last few days he’s been giving us new spins on classics like Aaliyah’s Four Page Letter and Busta Rhymes’ Woo Hah to devastating effect.

Today he took on stwo’s Eden, slowed it right down and made something completely different, which is exactly what a remix should be. Braeden isn’t even 20 years old yet…it’s scary to think about how many good producers are out there at the moment. Enjoy and follow him on soundcloud here.

TOTD – Dojo – Sure Thing (remix)

Tonight’s post comes from one of Ottowa’s finest at the moment, dojo. His remix of Miguel’s ‘Sure Thing’ is the perfect track to wind down to on the weekend. It’s a song of two halves with a that blend together right at the end. Enjoy.

TOTD – Mjay – Higher

I don’t know what it is about New Zealand right now but I like what producers there are doing! As I was driving home last night, MJAY’s ‘HIGHER’ came on and instantly put a smile on my face. It’s a perfect song for Friday morning. It’s a funky track that enlists Maxwells vocals from Ascension to make for a great feel good tune. Enjoy.

TOTD – EXMA – SixtyFive

I didn’t know what to expect when Exma’s ‘SixtyFive‘ lined itself up on my soundcloud but I was pleasantly surprised. It’s a rework of one my favourite songs growing up, ‘I’m Blue’ by Eiffel 65 and it’s instantly flipped by Exma with warm slowed down bass accompanied by chopped up lyrics. I’m looking forward to what else the Auckland native brings out this year. Enjoy.

Track Of The Day #13

Nadastrom vs Heartbreak – Church Songs such as this one evoke a reaction in the muscles as soon as the brain processes the signals received from the years. You have to move when you hear it. It’s unavoidable. Nadastrom and Heartbreak create a new sound using tools provided by James Blake, Nina Simone and Kanye West to create 3 minutes and 11…

Track Of The Day #12

I’m a huge Plan B fan, it’s been like that since I first heard ‘No Good’ the video for that was insane! His record ‘Who Needs Actions When You Got Words’ came out at a very important time in my life when I was 16, many changes were happening and the music he put out helped show me that the…

Track Of the Day #11

This week has been about reclaiming myself. So to find inspiration for today’s track of the day post, I had a gander at my last.fm profile to see what music I actually identify myself with. I checked over the last 6 months and found a track that immediately brought a massive grin to my face. Not only is Ghostpoet an incredibly talented artist,…
